1. Albuquerque International Balloon Festival 

The phenomenon is known as the "Albuquerque Box," which is the combination of weather patterns and geography that results in balloonists having great control over their balloons. All in all, Albuquerque is a great place to launch a hot air balloon, thousands of balloons, different shapes and sizes are seen at the time of festival!

2. Boryeong Mud Festival - South Korea

South Korea is known for its superabundance of seemingly random festivals, but Mud festival is indeed the greatest among them. It takes place right by the Daecheon Beach every year, so you can easily muddy yourself up, then pop into the ocean to rinse off. The next morning is “Dhuleti” free for all carnival of colors, where everyone plays, chases and colors each other with dry color and colored water, with some carrying water guns and colored water-filled balloons. People forget differences and play with full of fun and amusement.

It is a festival that witnesses thousands of sky lantern light over Pingxi District in Taiwan. The festival was originally celebrated to ward of evil and disease from the town. These lanterns are decorated with wishes and images relating to the owner and finally, they're released into the sky together magically decorating the sky into a thousand of lights. 10. La Tomatina - Spain

As crazy as it may seem, this festival is held every year purely for fun, meaning it isn’t tied to any ancient traditions. Fun, frolic, dance and lots of tomatoes - this is one festival you absolutely cannot miss. Participants throw tomatoes at each other and ride down those tomato-streaked slides having the time of their lives. Be it tomato fights or the enormous water showers that follow, La Tomatina is a festival that gets you dancing and engaging wrapped up in the unlimited fun!

The Thai New Year festival falls on some of the hottest days in Thailand, and people celebrate by throwing water on each other, using water guns, buckets, hoses- whatever they can get their hands on. Elephants can also be seen walking around and splashing off water jets at people!

12. Gay Pride Parade - Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam Pride is a gay-festival held annually at the center of Amsterdam during the first weekend of August. The festival attracts several hundred thousand visitors each year and thus one of the largest publicly held annual events in the Netherlands. The peak of the festival is during the canal parade, a parade of boats of large variety on the first Saturday of August can be seen swarming the waters with activists and people from around the world.
