Why you must travel on the Maharaja Express train, India?

Maharaja Express Train has many routes covering different cities on each route.

I took the route which was for seven nights. It started from Delhi,  the moment I entered the train I felt like entering a Palace and felt myself like a Maharaja.  The main cities in my trip were Delhi - Agra - Ranthambore - Jaipur - Bikaner - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Balasinor - Mumbai.

The coach has all the basic amenities with the royal touch to serve your needs. The train stops at a particular station and we are given rough guidelines about the place we are visiting. The first place we visited was Taj Mahal. The beauty of the Taj Mahal was unbeatable. We came back to the train.

The train has 23 coaches that can accommodate 88 guests. The cabins of the train have been segregated into Deluxe Cabins (20), Junior Suites (18), Suites (4) and Presidential Suite (1). All of them are Spacious in size, each cabin is well-equipped with every world-class facility. The train also has a lounge, a bar, and 2 dining cars.

The next stop was Jaipur. Jaipur is the city of palaces but how about traveling in the palace. Well, I was on one of it. We were served all the meals on Train. The restaurant Peacock Restaurant - Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal served lavish dining throughout.

The kitchen served a continental menu as well as an Indian food. It was a great feeling being served with all different cuisines in a royal way. They served all the options of Indian food and even the style of serving was also followed. There was so much to explore on the train that I never felt like stopping and visiting the city.

We had 80% guests from out of India. I found the train little costly but the experience was worth every penny spent.  If the budget is the problem then they had 3 nights package too. There are 5 Pan India journey, consist of different routes. Also, the tariff includes all the major costs like cost of travel, accommodation, all meals, water, beverages, house brands of wines, beer and spirits, and sightseeing at the destinations. The tariff also includes entrance fees for monuments, guides, tour managers and all leisure activities. So not added cost to your pocket.
