The Stunning Subway Stations Of Stockholm
The Stockholm metro is known to be the largest art exhibition in the world. Stockholm's subway system is truly one of a kind. One hundred stations, each with unique art on its platform, walls and waiting hall. The majority of the stations have been decorated with paintings and art since the 1950s. It is also sometimes referred to as the world's longest art gallery.

If you are running out of time to visit all the attractions of Stockholm, I advise you to start your visit to Stockholm Central Station - T-Centralen. Then you can visit the lines “blue” and “red” of the subway in priority because they are the ones that have the most amazing things to see!
T-Centralen - the central station
T-Centralen is Stockholm central station and so there are many stations that intersect here. Feel free to make detours in the subway stations that interest you because there are decorations on all sides!

Kungsträdgarden station
Kungsträdgarden means in Swedish: the garden of the king because it is located in the heart of Stockholm just below the park that bears the same name. It is decorated according to the theme of archeology. Kungsträdgården Station has been designed around what’s above the station itself, with the colors being a throwback to the old French garden above.
Tensta station
Tensta Station took over one year to paint and design. It is easily one of the most recognizable of Stockholm’s metro art. This station has an area where lots of new citizens can read the messages from the artists.

Solna station
Solna is one of the easiest pieces of artworks to find. It is situated on the Blue Line. The theme of the Solna subway station is nature. The artists decided to paint a forest of one kilometer long on the walls of the station. It has a red ceiling.
Stadion Station
My best part of this station is the rainbow archway is positioned between the two platforms. Stadion station is the most popular amongst all. It is a few stops from T-Centralen, it’s relatively easy to reach.

Rådhuset station
Rådhuset subway station gives you the impression of being in a tunnel under construction or in a cave under the mountain! It has a rough, work in progress kind of artwork all over the walls and ceiling.
Akalla station
Situated at the very end of Line 11 on the Blue Line, Akalla Station is another intense and bright stations to explore. This green station is definitely a sight to be must-see.
